Our
Story
The Nevada Community Enrichment Program (NCEP) is a nonprofit, comprehensive rehabilitation facility specializing in neurological rehabilitation that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). NCEP is an affiliated program of Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI), a nonprofit organization that came to Nevada in 1990. ASI is dedicated to acquiring accessible, affordable housing and providing supportive services for individuals with severe physical disabilities, brain injuries, seniors, veterans, and those with very low incomes. Accessible Space, Inc. is currently the nation’s largest provider of accessible, affordable housing and a supportive partner of NCEP. For more information, please go to the official ASI Website at: Accessible Space: Accessible Housing, Assisted Living Services, Independent Living Skills
NCEP’s day treatment facility (“The Loux Center”) is located on the campus of the College of Southern Nevada at 6375 West Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada. NCEP’s residential facility accommodates up to 10 bedrooms with single occupancy suites in a home within an established residential neighborhood. The residence is 3 miles away from the Loux Center day treatment facility.
NCEP has established and maintained an excellent community reputation and is dynamically involved in community activities. NCEP and ASI are involved in state and local conferences; collaborate with other community service agencies including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Driven, the Engelstad Scholars Program, and the American Brain Injury Association (ABIA). NCEP and ASI are sensitive to the basic human rights of dignity, health, and safety of those we serve. Clients’ rights statements are posted throughout NCEP’s day treatment facility (“The Loux Center”) as well as NCEP’s residential Hastings House facility, and the policies are interwoven into the NCEP’s actual practice, service delivery, and milieu. Clients are integrally involved in their treatment planning. This involvement occurs on a daily basis, with attention given to the unique needs of each individual. Treatment planning revolves around the abilities, realities, culture and support systems of each individual person served.
NCEP provides a continuum of services directed towards increasing an individual’s functional abilities within the home and community. The continuum of services includes both residential and day programs for neurorehabilitation. This continuum is practical and directly addresses the needs of those served. NCEP utilizes and values interdisciplinary team functioning, treatment and communication.

In December of 2021, NCEP opened its first comprehensive cardiac rehab program. Our goals are to effectively and significantly improve cardiac and pulmonary health through a holistic comprehensive approach with a focus on changing behaviors and nutrition, as well as increasing physical capacity, strength and endurance. NCEP’s cardiac program provides a supportive and stimulating educational environment that serves to motivate clients in making a lifetime commitment to necessary change, increasing independence and proactive involvement in regular and ongoing medical and wellness care. We do this by educating our clients and involving participants in personalized effective modalities and types of physical exercise which work for each individual, providing them with an individualized plan for a lifetime of success.
